Ah, New Year’s resolutions. These resolutions are a great way to set yourself up for failure and disappointment. There comes a point when your New Year’s resolutions are not realistic and unreasonable. That time is about a fortnight into 2019. Enjoy your freedom from unhealthy diets and poor exercise habits. Grab a pack of cigarettes and enjoy another glass of wine. Ditch New Years Resolutions Day will set you free from the first mistakes of your New Year. We all believe that the New Year will be different. That we wont return to the old ways, in the hope-filled, optimistic light of the New Year’s dawn, and that things won’t continue as they are. It’s a shame that New Year’s resolutions have been proven to be as ineffective as an umbrella that is too small to keep the rain out. Instead, make real changes to your lifestyle. You can set small goals for your entire life and not have to be disappointed if you don’t make any changes. You should not treat New Year’s Resolutions as a bad habit. These resolutions won’t last you the whole year. As I mentioned, celebrating the New Year is about reevaluating your whole life. It’s important to recognize that some resolutions may be silly, limiting or depressing. People swear that they will never fall in love again. Start living your life, being happy with yourself, and don’t be afraid to change it if you arent satisfied.
