Don’t Fry Day
It may sound like a diet mantra, but Don’t Fry Day was actually created by the Council for Skin Cancer Prevention. This encourages sun-lovers to put on a shirt, apply sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher is recommended), and then wrap their eyes with sunglasses. It’s a great day to share sun-smart ideas with kids. Instead of spending the day in the sun, have an indoor picnic or watch a marathon. If the weather is nice, you can grab your friends and a beach umbrella to have some sun-smart fun outdoors. Remember to be respectful of the rules and not slip, slop or slap between the hours 10 and 4.
