National Baby Swimming Week
LET’S GET CHILDREN SWIMMING
Since March 2020, every aspect of children’s education has been impacted, and this includes the life-saving skill of learning how to swim. The Impact of Coronavirus on School Swimming and Water Safety report reveals that more than one million children could leave school unexpected to swim. And even before the pandemic, almost one in four children could not swim the statutory 25 metres when they left primary school.
This National Baby Swimming Week, we want to raise awareness about the benefits of getting children into a pool as early as possible and get them swimming. Baby swimming doesn’t just teach little one’s key water safety skills but can boost their confidence in and out of the water. Who knows, your little one could be part of the next generation of swimming Olympians?
