National Cubicle Day
National Cubicle Day is an opportunity for office workers who are not in the department to break with convention, personalise their cubicles and show their individuality. Cubicles were created by Robert Propst in 1967 to allow workers privacy and subdivide open office spaces. These modular systems can be reconfigured almost in the same way as a bucket full of Lego bricks. Today’s cubicles include both individual offices and pods for workers who share tasks.
You can celebrate by improving your Chi using cube Feng Shui or challenging workers to a contest to decorate cubes. Or simply appreciate the temporary walls that keep you safe from your neighbor’s annoying habits. Whatever way you celebrate National Cubicle Day – make sure to claim your cube farm!
