National Peppermint Patty Day

National Peppermint Patty Day

The combination of rich dark chocolate and refreshing peppermint is a delicious combination that can’t be beat. The holiday of National Peppermint Patty Day is actually centered on this wonderful blend and the company that created it. This holiday is a favorite for Peppermint Patty lovers. Each year brings a new opportunity to express your love for this delicious snack.

Henry Kessler created the York Peppermint Pattie in York, Pennsylvania in 1920. It was then marketed throughout the Northeast United States by his York Cone Company. The York Peppermint Patty was so successful that the York Cone Company stopped making the cones it was named after and instead focused all its efforts on the new candy creation its creators had created. Peter Paul purchased the York Cone Company in 1972. He made sure that everyone else could enjoy the dark chocolatey, pepperminty goodness of York Cone Company.

York Peppermint Patty’s best feature is the fact that you can’t have too many of it. Who could resist that unique combination of flavors? There’s no need to worry about a stomach ache. After all, peppermint is the best food to eat if you have an upset stomach.

Enjoying this delicious candy is the best way to celebrate National Peppermint Patty Day! We can go even further than that! Peppermint patties can be used in other culinary recipes, which is a lesser-known use. Our favorite is: We love peppermint patties brownies and we are going to share the recipe with you because we love you so very much.

Brownies are simple to make. You just need to combine the butter, sugar and vanilla and then add the eggs until everything is well combined. Then, add the flour, cocoa powder and salt and blend it again.

Next, set aside 2 cups batter. Grease a 13x9x2 baking pan. Pour the remaining batter into the pan. Lay out the peppermint patties one-by-one. The batter should be poured over the patties and then re-heated at 350F for 55 minutes.

We are curious to see what kind of sensation they will give you when you bite into them.
