National Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day

National Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day

It is a wonderful profession to study nutrition and the effects of food on our bodies. They work in hospitals and doctor’s offices, and everywhere else people want to be healthy.

An entire day has been dedicated to their honor. National Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day allows us to celebrate their work and the role they play in keeping us healthy. It also highlights the message they send to the community.

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics created National Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day in 2008. The Academy chose the day to raise awareness of nutrition and food service professionals and their commitment to helping people live happy and healthy lives.

It is easy to make quick decisions when it comes to eating in today’s fast-paced society. They take the time to remind us that healthy choices can make a difference in our lives.

It is the Dietitians’ responsibility to help at all levels of life, including on a local and national level. It can be confusing to grasp nutrition science.

A Registered Dietitian is able to translate the science into language that makes sense. This allows hospitals, schools and community centers, nursing homes, and other institutions to plan healthy meals for their patients. This day is dedicated to acknowledging their efforts and to raising awareness about their messages.

Are you aware of a Registered Dietitian? Do they want you to make healthier food choices? Show them that you are willing to make the right food choices. Let the person you’re speaking with know that you are trying to be better and that you appreciate their help so you can be more healthy.

You may even get stuck in a routine and not make any permanent changes. You can make a resolution to change your routine if you’re like many people today, and you can celebrate National Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day.

Keep a log of your progress in each area. You can then show your Dietitian how you have followed the advice and applied it the next time. Both sides will be surprised at the results!

It is important to listen to the messages the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Registered Dietitians want to send. Every community has its own needs but there is one common theme: Get active and eat more fruits and vegetables!

Talk to a Registered Dietitian to discuss your individual plan. Now is the time to make changes that will benefit your family and keep them healthy, happy, and strong.
