Pet Theft Awareness Day
Pet Theft Awareness Day aims to raise awareness about the importance of pet identification. It’s a day to reflect on how important an animal can be for a family, and the responsibility that comes with it. Pet owners should take the time to ensure their pet’s safety and peace of mind.
Pet Theft Awareness Day was established in 1988 by Last Chance for Animals. It aims to educate pet owners about keeping their pets safe. The threat of pet theft is real, with nearly 2 million pets being taken each year in America alone. There are two options: have your pets micro-chipped, or tattooed. This can allow for group bonding. A permanent imprint that identifies who is who can be used to bind a couple with their pets until the end. But not for the less fickle.
