Play In The Sand Day
Many of us have fond memories of the gentle breeze that blows over our skin while we dig into the fine sand. Perhaps it was as a child playing in the sandbox at the local park or on vacation at the beach. This day is about Playing in the Sand, no matter how you remember it.
It was originally about creating artistic sandcastles and soft sculptures from sand and other water. But now it covers everything you do in the sand. There are many contests on major beaches all over the world for the best artistic work. There are many things to see: famous statues, huge sand castles that you can walk around without seeing over, and intricately molded designs that will take your breath away.
Although many beaches are close to restaurants, bars, and other amenities, it’s not necessary. You will need a few shovels and a few pails. Then, you can let your creativity flow. Fill your moat with water. You can make sand beds to ensure your comfort. You can set up a small structure, and the youngest child will be the ruler of your new sand kingdom.
You can build sandcastles or bury your friends and family. It doesn’t matter what you play, as long as you have fun. Your dream house is possible. A monument to someone or something you love should be erected. Perhaps a sand castle, with a moat and sticks as bridges. Make a hole large enough to cover with a blanket, and you will have your own little place in the sun.
Perhaps you can dig with your little ones and show them how to build a sand castle. Let the water soften your names and then wipe the canvas clean to begin again. There are many options, almost as numerous as there are things you can do in the sand. It’s just as much fun and as endless as any other activity. Fill a moat with water around your stuff. You can make sand beds to ensure your comfort. You can set up a small structure, and the youngest child will be the ruler of your new sand kingdom.
