April is World Autism Awareness Month, a time to promote understanding and acceptance of people with autism. Autism is a developmental disorder that affects a person’s ability to communicate and interact with others. People with autism often have difficulty with social skills, and they may also experience sensory sensitivities and repetitive behaviors.
While there is no cure for autism, there are treatments that can help people with autism lead happy and productive lives. With early diagnosis and intervention, people with autism can learn to overcome many of the challenges associated with the disorder.
