World Hypertension Day
Although it might seem like a day of intense stress, which can lead to high blood pressure, World Hypertension Day is actually an educational event that aims to prevent hypertension.
The World Hypertension League created the day in 2005 to raise awareness about the condition and the issues that surround it. Hypertension awareness is vitally important due to the high number of deaths from heart attacks, kidney disease, strokes, and other complications. The WHL hopes to raise awareness of hypertension in the general population.
The theme of the day is usually a particular one. In the past, for example, the theme was “Healthy diet, healthy Blood Pressure”, which sought to increase understanding about how poor diets can lead to high blood pressure, and how healthy eating can fix it.
Participate in the test, learn more about hypertension, and keep your health.
