World NGO Day
Marcis Liors Kadmanis was the original inventor of World NGO Day. It is an international day on the calendar that is held every year on the 27th of February to commemorate, celebrate and collaborate with NGOs all over the globe. Officially recognised and declared in 2010 by the 12 Baltic Sea NGO Forum member countries of the Council of the Baltic Sea States. It was also first recognized by the UN, EU leaders, and international organizations in 2014.

It aims to encourage people to get more involved in NGOs (Charities/NPOs/CSOs) and to foster a greater partnership between NGOs and the private and public sectors. The World NGO Day’s universal theme is to Celebrate, Commemorate, and Collaborate all NGOs worldwide and their people.
World NGO Day allows NGOs from all over the world to come together and share their knowledge. It is intended to raise awareness about NGOs and their impact on the world. The World NGO Day is an opportunity to honor and remember NGO founders and employees, volunteers, members, and supporters.
